Elizabeth Holmes has issued a cryptic message from prison, again maintaining that she is innocent and quoting the Bible: “The truth will set you free.”
The 42-year-old former Theranos chief executive wrote Sunday that she had spent “1,216 endless days and nights” behind bars as she prepares for a transfer to a halfway house.
Holmes’ X account has continued posting since she was sentenced for wire fraud in November 2022. However, Sunday marked the first time she ended a message with “EAH,” her initials for Elizabeth Anne Holmes.
“I was silenced for a long time,” Holmes wrote. “And then imprisoned. I am fighting to prove my innocence and come home to my babies and the love of my life.”
“I have now been imprisoned for 1,216 endless days and nights. During that time, as we fight for freedom, my loved ones have helped manage my account.”
She identified Billy Evans as one of the people helping oversee the account, writing: “Billy is one of the people carrying that responsibility for me. He fights fiercely for me and our family. I love him beyond space and time.”
Holmes added that future messages written personally by her would be identified with the initials “EAH.”
She also expressed gratitude to supporters who have sent letters during her incarceration before turning to a well-known biblical passage.
“Opening letters from my supporters at the end of unforgiving days constantly ignites the fire in my heart,” she wrote. “The truth will set you free. John 8:32. EAH.”
The mother of two accompanied the post with a warm, pre-prison photo of herself alongside her 33-year-old husband, Billy Evans.
In the selfie, Holmes leans against Evans’ shoulder while wearing casual clothing and a dark-blue Milwaukee Brewers baseball cap.
The timing of the photograph is unknown. Holmes is currently housed at Federal Prison Camp Bryan, a minimum-security facility for women that also houses Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted associate of Jeffrey Epstein.
Holmes is scheduled to move on Aug. 23, 2027, to the Austin Transitional Center in Del Valle, Texas. The privately operated facility has 460 beds and functions as a community corrections center.
Once there, she will be monitored by the United States Probation office.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons did not confirm the planned transfer, telling The Post that it “does not discuss the conditions of confinement for any individual, including release plans.”
“Additionally, per BOP policy, specific designation information cannot be released until after an individual arrives at their designated institution,” the agency said.
Residential reentry centers, commonly called halfway houses, help people nearing release transition back into the community. According to the Bureau of Prisons, they offer supervised housing along with employment counseling, job placement support and financial-management assistance.
The expected transfer comes while Holmes awaits a commutation petition submitted to the Trump Administration last year.
Holmes founded Theranos, the blood-testing startup that later collapsed. She was convicted in 2022 on four counts of wire fraud and conspiracy for defrauding investors and was ordered to pay $452 million in restitution.
Throughout the trial, Holmes maintained her innocence and declined to plead guilty.
Prosecutors said Holmes lied to investors from 2010 to 2015 by promising Theranos’ technology could run many medical tests on a single drop of blood from a finger prick.
She was sentenced to 11 years and three months behind bars, but she’s eligible for release on Dec. 30, 2031, after having a year shaved off her sentence.
Despite being convicted, she maintains her innocence.
“I refused to plead guilty to crimes I did not commit,” she told People in February 2025.
Holmes’ month before she started her prison sentence will be documented in the Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim-directed movie, “You Can See Everything,” which will be released on Oct. 16.
The film was recorded in secret – and its first screening happened at Telluride Film Festival earlier this month.
A trailer, which coincided with the screening, was released and in the snippet, convicted liar Holmes told her co-star, Fielder, “I’m not deceiving you.”
