'Golden Bachelor' exclusive clip: Can Cindy get the answers she needs to move forward with Mel?

This week on “The Golden Bachelor,” the excitement heightens as Mel embarks on hometown visits, making stops in Las Vegas to meet Peg, Denver for Debbie, and Austin to see Cindy.

In an exclusive preview from On The Red Carpet, we catch a glimpse of Mel’s visit to Cindy’s hometown. The clip, which you can view above, shows Cindy welcoming Mel into her Austin condo after spending time with her family. Cindy expresses her joy, saying she was “so proud” to introduce Mel to her children, and confesses that she’s feeling the “big L” — love — for him. However, she also reveals her children’s reservations, admitting, “The downside is, my kids are not sure for me.”

Cindy candidly shares her family’s concerns with Mel, asking, “They’re like, ‘Are you sure that he feels for you the same way that you’re feeling for him?’ And honestly, I don’t know how you’re feeling.”

As Cindy opens up, Mel remains silent. She later confides in a producer, stating, “I’m not gonna ‘big L’ you unless you’re there with me.”

“The Golden Bachelor’s” finalist Cindy reveals what she needs from Mel to move forward. Watch the journey continue Wednesdays at 9p|8c on ABC and stream the next day on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.

Recently, at a “Golden Gals” brunch, On The Red Carpet caught up with Cindy, who expressed her hope for Bachelor Nation to see more of Mel’s journey.

“I think you will enjoy the next couple of episodes because it’s really the time for Mel to start opening up. You’ve seen me cry plenty, but now it’s time to see some emotion out of Mel,” Cindy shared.

This comes at a crucial time in Mel’s journey. With just three women left, Mel has to make some big decisions and open up his heart.

“These episodes are really going to shake Bachelor Nation, shake the Goldens. And I think we’re starting to really see what relationships are like when you’re in their golden years, how complicated they can be, and what compromises people have to make. And maybe those compromises people won’t make,” Cindy added.

“The Golden Bachelor” airs Wednesdays at 9pm EST/8pm CST on ABC and streams the next day on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. And listen to “Playing the Field: A Bachelor Podcast,” wherever you get your podcasts.

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of this ABC station.
