Daniels was hurt while making a tackle on Bears tight end Colston Loveland and remained down after the play. Trainers attended to him for several minutes before securing him to a board and placing him on a cart. His legs, body, head and shoulders were strapped in place. As he was carried off the field, Daniels raised his left hand and made a fist.
"Kendal Daniels is alert and has movement in all his extremities. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for further evaluation," the Falcons said in a statement on social media.
Several Falcons defensive players knelt as medical personnel treated Daniels. The entire Atlanta bench eventually came onto the field to support him, while multiple Bears players also took a knee. Daniels was ruled out of the game with a neck injury.
A fourth-round pick from Oklahoma, Daniels had started six games for Atlanta and entered Sunday’s matchup with 22 tackles this season.
