MSNBC fans have been begging for answers ever since star host Mika Brzezinski abruptly disappeared from Morning Joe.
The anchor failed to show up on TV alongside her husband Joe Scarborough after appearing to be busy with another project.
Fans were left frustrated and concerned when Brzezinski was absent on Wednesday, as some claimed they hadn’t seen her in weeks.
Viewers fumed online, posting “Where is Mika?” in a desperate attempt to get answers.
One person even demanded a “welfare check” out of fear for the star.
And a different viewer said that it’s been so long they’ve gotten used to watching without Scarborough or Brzezinski.
The U.S. Sun has reached out to MSNBC for information, but an article written by the host may indicate what she’s been up to.
Though the star anchor hasn’t been fulfilling her normal hosting duties, she’s stayed busy helping to create this year’s 50 over 50 list with Forbes.
The list was created four years ago with the help of Brzezinski’s women-empowerment platform Know Your Value.
On Wednesday, she released an introduction for the list, showcasing women who continue to “thrive in their 60s, 70s, and beyond,” as Forbes described.
In the article, the anchor called the initiative a “long-overdue invitation for women over 50 to finally take their seat at the table.”
She said this year’s class felt like a “battle cry” and a “call to action” as “our democracy is under pressure.”
“Hard-won freedoms are being stripped away,” she wrote in the fear-inducing description.
“For many, it feels like the ground is shifting beneath our feet.”
Brzezinski said, “None of the women have had it easy,” and that “they don’t live in a vacuum.”
“These women navigate challenges we all face: escalating costs, decreasing support from social safety nets, and the constant barrage of negative news. Yet, they remain resilient,” she noted.
Brzezinski called the list a “blueprint” and hopes that younger women can be inspired by the stories of the nominees.
TRUMP CONTROVERSY
The MSNBC host’s break comes a few months after she and her spouse garnered controversy following a visit to President Donald Trump’s residence in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, in November.
At the time, they said they wanted to smooth things over with the president before he took office again in January.
However, some viewers felt betrayed by the move, especially after the hosts had launched no-holds-barred attacks against the GOP leader.
The network has been suffering from less-than-savory ratings since Trump won the election.
So far this year, the network has lost its president Rashida Jones, and fired some familiar faces like Joy Reid.
Meanwhile, executives seem to be enhancing their focus on the skills of star host Rachel Maddow, who has returned to her five-night-a-week primetime schedule to boost viewership.
