The FBI recently confiscated an incredibly rare car valued at $13 million, linked to Ryan Wedding, a fugitive prominently featured on its 10 Most Wanted list.
Wedding stands accused of masterminding a major criminal operation that reportedly transports six metric tons of cocaine annually into Los Angeles, utilizing semitrucks traveling from Mexico.
This bold seizure of a 2002 Mercedes CLK-GTR Roadster, a vehicle of which only six were ever produced, marks a significant development in the relentless pursuit of the 44-year-old Wedding, who is alleged to be a drug lord and is also a former Canadian Olympic snowboarder.
Authorities have placed a $15 million reward for information leading to Wedding’s capture, asserting his involvement in orchestrating multiple murders.
Furthermore, officials claim that Wedding’s organization is behind the trafficking of cocaine and other narcotics worth billions of dollars from Mexico to Southern California.
They say Wedding and his crew are responsible for moving billions of dollars worth of cocaine and other narcotics from Mexico to Southern California.
In a press conference earlier this month, FBI Director Kash Patel described Wedding as a “modern-day iteration of Pablo Escobar” or “El Chapo” Guzman.
“Ryan Wedding has orchestrated murders against his rivals, against cooperating witnesses, against anybody that crosses his path,” said Akil Davis, the assistant director in charge of the FBI in Los Angeles.
The charges allege Wedding ordered the killing of a witness who was set to testify against him in a federal drug trafficking case.
