A 50-year-old Florida woman allegedly dumped a bucket of feces on her neighbor at a mobile-home park after accusing the woman of having an affair with her husband, police said.
Yirsi Machado Rivera faces burglary and battery charges in connection with the bizarre attack Monday at Royal Country Mobile Homes Park in Miami, WTVJ-TV reported.
According to a police report, Rivera “pooped in a bucket to throw it in the victim’s face.”
The alleged victim lives next door to Rivera and her husband. Rivera suspected that her neighbor and her husband were involved in a romantic relationship, the station reported.
Rivera told police she needed to dispose of a bucket of “caca” after using it as a makeshift toilet because her own toilet was not working. She then decided to use the waste to confront her neighbor, WTVJ said.
On Sept. 7, Rivera allegedly went to the neighboring trailer carrying the bucket and knocked loudly on the door, police said.
When the woman answered, Rivera allegedly accused her of sleeping with Rivera’s husband, forced her way inside and threw the feces at her before leaving.
Rivera also told authorities that the neighbor had previously struck her on the head with a baseball bat during an argument about the odor.
Rivera was arraigned Tuesday and ordered held without bond.
“So this is an interesting case,” Judge Mindy Glazer said during the arraignment. “She thinks the neighbor is having relations with her husband, so she pushed her way into the victim’s house and then throws poop on the victim, a bucket of poop.”
Online jail records showed that Rivera remained in custody at the Miami-Dade County Jail on Sunday.
