In a significant development, Bahamian authorities have granted permission for a thorough search of a specific 25-foot-deep area. This zone, marked by GPS data from Brian Hooker’s phone, has become a focal point in the investigation, according to sources familiar with the case.

Federal authorities are setting the stage for an intensive new search in the Bahamas in their quest to find Lynette Hooker. The GPS data, which casts doubt on the story provided by her husband, Brian Hooker, has prompted this renewed effort, a source has revealed.

The night of Lynette’s disappearance has been shrouded in mystery, particularly due to the sailboat’s GPS tracking data going silent for 11 hours. This blackout has raised questions and fueled speculation surrounding her vanishing.

Adding to the intrigue, it was discovered that Brian Hooker had a $33,000 thermal camera on board that night, yet inexplicably, it was never used. This detail was shared by a friend, adding another layer of perplexity to the case.

ALEX MURDAUGH:

Meanwhile, back in South Carolina, Becky Hill, former Colleton County Court Clerk, finds herself embroiled in a legal battle. She is pictured taking a moment of respite with a coffee mug while on a swing outside her home. Hill is facing a civil lawsuit from Alex Murdaugh, a disgraced attorney whose murder convictions for the deaths of his wife and son were recently overturned. The reversal came amidst allegations that Hill improperly influenced the jury during the trial. (Photo by Kat Ramirez for Fox News Digital)
