Who, Me?! Hard Left Billionaire Financier George Soros Professes Total Innocence Amid DOJ Accusations

Hungarian-born billionaire financier George Soros is often likened to a James Bond villain by many conservatives. His enigmatic persona, advanced age, and substantial financial backing of virtually every imaginable leftist cause contribute to this perception. When the term “Soros-backed prosecutor” is mentioned, it’s often said that crime rates soar in the associated areas. Soros has thrown his support behind numerous progressive, lenient prosecutors, including former LA DA George Gascón, Philadelphia’s well-known leniency advocate Larry Krasner, and Cook County Illinois’ controversial Kim Foxx. The list of such individuals is extensive.

He’s pumped at least $24 billion into far-left causes, and the effects are felt far and wide.

Recently, following an announcement from the Trump administration regarding an investigation into Soros’ potential links to domestic terrorism, the 95-year-old philanthropist, through a spokesperson, insisted on his innocence. He declared his involvement only in the most virtuous causes:

On Monday, the Open Society Foundations, established by the liberal billionaire, responded strongly to the claims made by the Trump administration and the Justice Department.

Michael Vachon, a senior adviser to Soros, authored a letter for the organization which refuted accusations of any illegal conduct or incitement to violence by Soros or the foundation. The letter described such allegations as “100 percent false” and driven by political motives.

Why, we would never, the foundation argued:

The letter from Vachon reemphasized the stance of OSF: “The Trump Administration has consistently propagated false claims about OSF and George Soros. Assertions that George Soros or OSF engage in any illegal activity or incite or promote violence are completely untrue.”

Meanwhile, California gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton disagrees, observing that the aging billionaire supports extremist California Governor Gavin Newsom’s attempts to undermine the state constitution and manipulate elections in the already controversial Golden State:

Unrepentant: George Soros Vows to Continue Backing Woke Prosecutors Despite the Lives They’ve Ruined

Vachon wrote: “All of OSF’s activities are peaceful and lawful.” Tell that to the countless victims of crime in our inner cities, or the people whose lives were ruined by his funding of “criminal justice reform”—also known as “prioritizing the criminals over the citizens.”

Soros has handed off many of his duties to his son, Alex, who recently married former Rep. Anthony “Carlos Danger” Weiner’s ex-wife and Hillary Clinton enabler Huma Abedin, but he still remains involved in spreading his millions of dollars to far-left causes. He ghoulishly started his fortune in 1992 by collecting a cool $1 billion while “breaking the Bank of England” with his betting against the English pound—costing the government an estimated £3.4 billion.

There’s no crime in funding left-leaning organizations—unless they’re terroristic. Whether or not his more recent actions are criminal is now up to the Department of Justice to determine.

The left’s soft-on-crime policies have wreaked havoc on America.
