A human skull, along with other skeletal remains, was unearthed amidst the foliage on Coney Island, Brooklyn, this week, as confirmed by local authorities.
The grim discovery occurred near the Riegelmann Boardwalk, specifically between West 32nd and West 33rd Streets, shortly before 6 p.m. on Tuesday, according to a report by ABC 7.
As the New York City Police Department delved into the initial find, they uncovered additional remains at the same location on Wednesday, the report further detailed.

Officers retrieved various human bones, including arms and legs, from the dense undergrowth.
Despite the extensive recovery efforts, some parts of the individual’s remains have yet to be found.
However, some of the person’s body parts remain unaccounted for.
Investigators said the remains had been in the bushes for a while.

One resident who spoke to Fox News Digital called the discovery “spooky” and “unsettling.”
“It is crazy, hopefully it doesn’t happen again,” another resident said.
