Police seek public’s help to solve murder of New Jersey mother
Authorities in New Jersey are appealing to the public for information in the killing of 35-year-old mother Brooke Hanlon, who was discovered fatally stabbed inside her Chester home on June 6. The investigation remains active, with no arrests or publicly named suspects, and her family has avoided public comment in an effort to protect the case. Anyone with relevant information is being asked to contact law enforcement.
Investigators from the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit confirmed to INC News that Conor Hanlon has been in contact with authorities since his wife was killed.
The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office said the medical examiner determined that Hanlon died from “multiple sharp force injuries” after she was found dead on June 6.

The prosecutor’s office said investigators have remained in communication with “several” members of Hanlon’s family as the case has progressed.
Asked whether Conor Hanlon has been cooperative during the investigation, officials declined to provide further comment.
INC News also obtained a Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) record tied to a 911 call placed from the home on June 6, which was initially categorized as a “Cardiac or Respiratory Arrest.”

According to the log, the 911 call came in at 4:29 p.m., and within 13 minutes at approximately 4:42 p.m., a dispatcher enters the note “suspicious death” to the log.
Within the hour, Major Crimes Unit detectives were notified.
The log also indicates several days of investigative activity at the home following the initial call.
Detectives, investigators and the medical examiner, among others, were recorded on the log from June 6 through June 12, when the log was officially closed out.

It was not immediately clear who Hanlon’s lawyer is. Hanlon has not been accused of any crime or wrongdoing.
INC News previously made calls to Hanlon that were not returned.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
