Federal immigration authorities took several migrants into custody in different cities across the U.S. during the Memorial Day weekend, as reported by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The arrests occurred on Saturday, involving ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers stationed in Boston, Denver, Houston, Newark, New York City, Salt Lake City, and San Francisco, as stated by ICE.

Kevin Estuarde Hernandez, an 18-year-old from Guatemala, was apprehended by ERO Boston with the assistance of other federal agencies. Hernandez was in the U.S. without legal admission or parole. He is allegedly affiliated with the 18th Street gang, and local law enforcement in Everett, Massachusetts, claim he participated in a shooting between 18th Street and MS-13 gangs.
