The State Department announced on Saturday that U.S. authorities have detained the niece and grandniece of the late Iranian General Qasem Soleimani.

Hamideh Soleimani Afshar, along with her daughter, who have been residing in Los Angeles, were taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Friday. This action comes as part of the United States’ initiative to revoke green cards from foreign nationals linked to Iran amidst ongoing tensions with the regime.
