Jacob Elordi gets into heated confrontation with paparazzo in Paris

Jacob Elordi, a fresh nominee for the Golden Globe Awards, recently found himself in a tense confrontation with paparazzi in Paris, voicing concerns that their relentless pursuit is making his life difficult.

The 28-year-old actor, known for his roles in “Euphoria” and “Frankenstein,” was accompanied by a bodyguard as he exited a sparsely populated train station on Wednesday. It was there that Elordi paused, removed one of his earbuds, and confronted the photographers who had been trailing him.

“You make it really hard for me to live,” said the BAFTA nominee, according to footage making the rounds online.

In response to a paparazzo’s declaration of affection, Elordi, star of “Saltburn,” candidly replied, “I don’t love you. You make it hard for me to live, all of you. You make it really hard for me.”

The interaction sparked mixed reactions online, with some commentators labeling the event as “cringe-worthy.” Many noted that the presence of Elordi’s bodyguard seemed more like a spectacle than a necessity.

One user commented, “The security looks ridiculous, like a publicity stunt. This whole thing is so cringe.”

“The security looks ridiculous, like a publicity stunt,” wrote one user. “This whole thing is so cringe.”

“The bodyguard is doing way too much for nothing,” said another, while a third wrote in French that his security was behaving as if “there’s an army of fans” when, in fact, “there’s no one.”

As some criticized Elordi for overreacting and being rude to someone just doing what they’re paid to do, others came to his defense.

“Fame is not a free pass for the world to ignore someone’s boundaries,” argued a fan. “Paparazzi may choose this profession, but that doesn’t take away a person’s right to exist without being hunted. You can love someone’s work without making their life harder to live.”

The interaction came two days after Elordi nabbed his first two Golden Globe nominations on Monday, for his supporting role in Guillermo del Toro’s “Frankenstein” and leading role in the miniseries “The Narrow Road to the Deep North.”
