A significant verdict was reached in Chicago regarding a tragic event that unfolded three years ago. A judge has acquitted a man previously accused in the heartbreaking shooting of a young girl during a Fourth of July celebration in the Austin neighborhood.
The incident dates back to 2020, when 7-year-old Natalia Wallace was enjoying the holiday on the sidewalk. According to police reports, the festivities turned fatal when three armed individuals emerged from a white vehicle and unleashed a hail of over 20 bullets towards the gathered crowd on North Latrobe Avenue.
Tragically, Natalia was struck in the forehead and later succumbed to her injuries at the hospital, leaving a community in mourning and searching for justice.

Among the four individuals charged in connection with this senseless act was Terell Boyd. His recent acquittal adds another layer to the ongoing narrative of the case.

Kevin Boyd was previously found guilty of murder and aggravated battery and aggravated discharge of a firearm. He is do in court on Thursday, Nov. 20.
