Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin arrived in Anchorage, Alaska on Friday to initiate discussions aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
This encounter is the first face-to-face meeting between U.S. and Russian leaders since Putin began his aggressive campaign in Ukraine over three years ago.
Commencing at about 3:30 pm EST, the session is planned to extend for several hours, with initial forecasts suggesting around four hours, though the Kremlin hinted it might continue up to seven hours.

The White House noted that Trump, accompanied by leading economic advisors, such as Secretary Pete Hegseth, Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, undertook the lengthy journey to Anchorage for extended bilateral talks, which included a working lunch.
Though only Witkoff and Rubio will be in the meeting alongside Trump, while Putin is expected to be accompanied by Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov.
According to sources, Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov also took the long flight, though his participation in discussions with Putin and Trump remains uncertain.
