One official on campus said, “The shooter is knocking on doors pretending to be a military policeman.”
“Naval Support Activity Annapolis, alongside local law enforcement, is responding to threats directed at the Naval Academy,” stated NSAA PAO, LT Naweed Lemar, in a statement to Fox News. “The base is locked down as a precautionary measure. Updates will be provided as the situation evolves.”
A Defense Department official also confirmed awareness of the campus lockdown to Fox News Digital, but mentioned there is no additional information available at this moment.
This is a developing story.
