Paws up! The stars arrived, strutted their stuff, and stole the spotlight — with plenty of canine couture on display.
Some of Los Angeles’ best-dressed dogs took to the runway Sunday for “Dare to Strut,” a canine fashion show that transformed Father’s Day into a stylish celebration on four legs.
Held June 21 at Pawradise Park, the event turned the venue into a lively catwalk as dogs and their owners stepped out together to showcase fashion, creativity, and the bond they share.
Pet-and-person pairs competed for top recognition in categories including Holiday Couture, Couture Canines, and the Signature Story Runway, with each duo bringing its own personality and flair before the judges.
A few pups made bold statements with vivid, colorful fur — including hot pink — while another embraced Parisian style in a striped top, red beret, and oversized white sunglasses.
Several others coordinated with their humans in matching dresses, delivering runway moments that lived up to the hype.

Prizes were presented for Most Fashionable Dog, Best Matching Duo, and Best Trick.
Created by event producer and storyteller Shi Choong, Dare to Strut is billed as more than just a dog fashion show.
The event grew out of Choong’s empowerment platform She Dares to Rise, which encourages participants to embrace courage, authenticity and belonging.
Organizers said Dare to Strut keeps that same spirit, inviting dogs and their humans to walk the runway just as they are.
It’s not about perfection — the event aims to celebrate confidence and heart while highlighting the deep bonds people share with their pets.
The afternoon also showcased original creations from local and emerging pet fashion designers — giving guests a sneak peek at the latest trends in pet couture.
Beyond the runway, visitors browsed local pet vendors, enjoyed music and joined fellow dog lovers for an afternoon full of style and dog-themed fun.
The dog-friendly event coincided with both Father’s Day and National Dog Party Day — drawing pet parents, animal lovers and plenty of camera-ready canines for a day dedicated to fashion and friendship.
