His Reddit history, at least, has not surfaced.
New Maine Democratic Senate nominee Troy Jackson has deleted nearly all of his older social media posts praising Graham Platner, the former candidate now facing a rape allegation, The Post has learned.
Jackson, a former lumberjack who once served as president of the Maine Senate, had been one of Platner’s vocal supporters before a former girlfriend publicly accused the Marine veteran and oyster farmer of sexual assault earlier this month.
Records preserved by the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine indicate that Jackson, 58, appears to have removed at least 20 posts promoting Platner that were published before the allegations became public.
“Graham Platner is exactly the sort of Democrat that Susan Collins and the Republican Party don’t know how to handle. It’s why I endorsed him back in February, and it’s why I support him now,” Jackson posted on X in May.
“He’s building a working class movement that spans every corner of this state, from Fort Kent all the way to Kittery.”
Jackson was then seeking the Democratic nomination for governor. After he placed third in the ranked-choice primary, his support from the left wing of the party — including an endorsement from Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) — made him a leading option for Democrats looking to replace Platner after he exited the Senate race earlier this month.
In other since-deleted X posts, Jackson congratulated Platner after Maine Gov. Janet Mills suspended her Senate campaign in April, shared an article by the Portland Press Herald on his and Platner’s drive to give laborers more personal time, and posted a clip of Platner gushing over a labor union endorsement the two landed.
The deleted X posts also included Jackson’s initial endorsement of Platner from March, featuring a video of the two playing pool at a bar.
“It’s time to upset the status quo. I’m proud to endorse my friend, @grahamformaine,” Jackson posted on X.
Jackson has not removed his July 6 post on X calling on Platner to leave the race after the allegation from his ex-girlfriend, Jenny Racicot. Platner has denied any wrongdoing.
Additionally, two other Platner-related posts are still up, including one seeking donations and another sharing a quote from a Portland Press Herald piece suggesting that Jackson is “our Graham, our Zohran, our Bernie.”

When asked about the deleted X posts, the Jackson campaign told The Post that “After a serious allegation of sexual assault emerged, Troy called on Graham Platner to step aside.”
“The campaign removed older posts that no longer reflected Troy’s position.”
Jackson officially clinched the Democratic nomination to take on incumbent Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) over the weekend.
Democrats consider Maine to be a must-win race if they hope to take back the Senate in November.
“Troy Jackson is trying to erase his past and is shape-shifting like a political chameleon in order to gain power,” Republican National Committee press secretary Natalie Baldassarre told The Post.
“Troy Jackson is a devout socialist who stood hand-in-hand with Nazi rapist Graham Platner until the bitter end, and no amount of deleted posts is going to change his past.”
