Witnesses reported a horrifying scene and said a man fell from the ride.

A witness told local station WXIA that the man appeared in a souvenir photograph taken as he fell.

“He was in our pictures,” the witness told WXIA. “He fell and hit the car three different times.”

The 200-foot hypercoaster came to a stop, stranding riders on the track while emergency crews carried out an evacuation. Video from the scene showed passengers climbing out of the train before descending a staircase suspended high above the ground.
