In a troubling incident on Saturday, several individuals were shot in the vicinity of a festival in Toledo, Ohio, prompting an active search for the suspect, according to local authorities.
The Toledo Police Department reported that officers swiftly responded to a shooting call at approximately 5:37 p.m. This occurred near the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Glenwood Avenue, in proximity to the Old West End Festival.
Upon reaching the scene, law enforcement officers found multiple individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. The police have yet to disclose the exact number of those injured or the extent of their injuries.
As the investigation continues, many of the victims have been transported to nearby hospitals for medical care, as stated in a release from the police department.

Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz told WTOL 11 that eight people were believed to have been shot and that all victims are expected to survive.
Residents and visitors were urged to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
