A Maryland man accused of killing a 12-year-old girl after allegedly opening fire on two men near a youth football game had been released from prison just eight days before the shooting.
Tyree Reynolds, 23, left state custody on Sept. 25, according to Fox 45 News, citing the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (MDPSCS).
Reynolds is facing 30 criminal charges, including murder and attempted murder, in connection with Saturday’s shooting at a youth football homecoming game at Leon Day Park in Baltimore.

Reynolds waived his bond hearing during a court appearance Wednesday. He joined the proceeding by video from a wheelchair, with his leg encased in a cast.
Authorities said surveillance video showed Reynolds firing at two men in a parking lot beside the football field during an argument over a parking space. Investigators allege that he reached into a backpack, removed a short-barreled rifle and began shooting.
One of the men fired back and hit Reynolds in the ankle. Reynolds then allegedly shot toward the football field, striking 12-year-old Khloe Ishway and three other people.
Ishway succumbed to her injuries.
“Khloe was just 12 years old. She should have a whole life ahead of her: school, a career, time spent with family and friends. Instead, she was killed because two adult men resorted to deadly violence to resolve an argument over a parking spot,” Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott said.
“Our hearts remain with Khloe’s mother, her family and friends, and our entire community, and we are committed to getting justice on their behalf,” he added.

Reynolds was on probation when the shooting occurred after recently completing a prison sentence stemming from an earlier shooting.
“The Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services is heartbroken by the tragic death of 12-year-old Khloe Ishway and the injuries to innocent bystanders,” the agency said in a statement. “Tyree Reynolds was previously sentenced to 15 years of incarceration, with all but five years suspended by a judge. Reynolds served the entirety of that five-year term, day for day, and was released on September 25, 2026.”
Reynolds was arrested three times in 2021. His first arrest came in February on a handgun possession charge, and he was granted pretrial release.

Before he was sentenced in that case, Reynolds was arrested again in connection with a March 2021 assault and later in connection with a July 2021 shooting that was never prosecuted, Fox 45 News reported.
He eventually pleaded guilty to reduced charges of first-degree assault and a firearms violation. A judge sentenced him to 15 years in prison followed by three years of probation.
The judge suspended all but five years of the sentence, and Reynolds served that full five-year term before being released in September.
