That’s coffee with a kick — a serious kick.

More than 1,100 pounds of cocaine were found in a shipment of coffee at a Nespresso factory in Switzerland, local police said Thursday.

The discovery happened on Monday, when workers at a Nespresso plant in Romont, in the western canton of Fribourg, found a mysterious white powder while unloading bags of coffee beans arriving from Brazil.

They alerted local authorities, who were dispatched to the scene “immediately,” according to a news release.

Twenty employees of the Federal Office of Customs and Border Security participated in the operation.

An analysis of the substance determined that the white powder was cocaine.

According to police, the drug is more than 80% pure and has a street value of more than 50 million Swiss francs ($50 million).

The batches were isolated and the drug didn’t come into contact with any other products, police said.

The investigation is still ongoing.
