LEBANON, Va. (WJHL) — The Russell County Sheriff’s Office has apprehended a Salem resident in connection with the recovery of three stolen vehicles. Officials announced the arrest of 48-year-old Ernest Scott Barton on Saturday. According to a statement from the sheriff’s office, one of the stolen vehicles, originally taken from Abingdon, was located on New Garden Road following a tip-off. Further details regarding the incident have yet to be disclosed.
