A man and a woman died Thursday evening after they were thrown from a motorcycle that lost control and struck multiple vehicles on a Queens highway during rush hour, police said.
The two were riding a CFMoto 650 east on the Grand Central Parkway near the Jackie Robinson Parkway at about 6:30 p.m. when the male operator suddenly spun out and collided with a white BMW driven by a 28-year-old woman, according to police.
The motorcycle then veered into a blue Ford Explorer being driven by a 39-year-old man, police said.
The impact sent both people on the motorcycle flying off the bike and onto the roadway, authorities said.
The riderless motorcycle continued down the highway, striking two more vehicles: a Chevrolet Express van operated by a 37-year-old man and a Chrysler Town and Country minivan driven by a 73-year-old man, officials said.

The motorcycle operator suffered severe head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS, while the female passenger was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where she also died, police said.
As of Friday, police had not released either victim’s name or age.
Their relationship to one another was not immediately known.
Five occupants of the other vehicles were evaluated by EMS — with three of them hospitalized with minor injuries, cops said.
No arrests have been made in the crash, according to police.
