“The sensation you experience when metal touches your skin leads you to think ‘this is it,'” she recounted.

The trio smashed into the property just before 4am this morning, chasing her car.

“They started screaming give us the f—ing keys,” she said.

“When you see the knives you g, ‘Holy shit. I need to fight for yourself right then and there’.

“They jumped the fence or they had it open, I don’t know, and they took off from there and the car was parked on the front driveway.”

The teens took off in Kristy’s Ford Everest, leaving behind blood, shattered glass and a distraught family.

“That’s not how anybody should ever have to feel, in your own home when you’re sleeping at 3 o’clock in the morning,” she said.

9News understands the same group of teens was spotted scoping out homes in surrounding streets the night before.

Police say they are still on the run, with investigations ongoing

“I just really hope by sharing this we can bring these people to justice,” Kirsty said.
