Trump-themed burger restaurant owner facing deportation

Roland Beainy, 28, was detained earlier this summer and now faces deportation because ICE officials say he did not leave the U.S. as required.

HOUSTON — The proprietor of burger restaurants themed after President Donald Trump in the Houston region is now facing deportation according to the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Roland Beainy is a Lebanese immigrant who operates restaurants in and around Houston.

An ICE spokesperson reported that Beainy, 28, was obligated to depart the country by February 12, 2024. He first came to the U.S. in 2019 but overstayed his visa.

The ICE spokesperson said Beainy doesn’t have any immigration benefits that would prevent him from being arrested or removed from the country.

On May 16, he was arrested and put into immigration proceedings.

On June 13, an immigration judge granted his request for bond while he waits for the proceedings to unfold.

Read the full statement from ICE below:

“Contrary to what has been falsely claimed, Roland Mehrez Beainy is without immigration protections that would prevent his arrest or deportation from the U.S.

“Beainy, a 28-year-old from Lebanon, entered the U.S. in 2019 as a non-immigrant visitor, and failed to leave by February 12, 2024, as his visa required. ICE took him into custody on May 16, 2025, placing him into immigration proceedings. On June 13, an immigration judge allowed his request for bond as his case progresses.

“ICE under the current administration is committed to restoring order to the U.S. immigration system by holding accountable those who enter the country illegally or overstay their visas, regardless of restaurant ownership or political views.”
