Heartbreaking family photos have emerged of a mother of two who died alongside her infant daughter when a boat capsized Saturday night in New York Harbor, as relatives and friends rally behind her devastated husband.
The images, shared on a fundraising page for Andres Garcia, show 27-year-old Sara Sanchez smiling with her husband before tragedy struck near Liberty Island. Garcia lost both Sanchez and their 5-month-old daughter, Antonella Garcia, after the motorboat they were aboard overturned.
“Our friend and colleague Andres Garcia experienced a loss that no husband or father should ever have to endure,” the fundraiser says.
Other family pictures show the couple with their 6-year-old son, Salvador, who was not on the boat when it capsized. Friends told The Post the boy’s birthday falls this week.
In one particularly poignant photo, Sanchez, visibly pregnant, beams beside her husband and son during a professional family portrait session.
“Those of us who know and work with Andres want to come together around him and their son during the most difficult time of their lives,” the fundraising page continues.
