The sheriff’s department responsible for investigating Nancy Guthrie’s presumed abduction has issued an alert regarding another kidnapping suspect, involved in a separate case just under 10 miles from Guthrie’s Tucson residence.
Authorities have identified 40-year-old Coral Michelle Smith as the suspect linked to a case of kidnapping and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. This was announced by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department in a “be on the lookout” alert over the weekend.
The incident occurred on May 29 at the intersection of River Road and La Cholla Boulevard, approximately 6.8 miles from Guthrie’s home in the Catalina Foothills. Specific details about the event have not been disclosed by the sheriff’s department.
