Authorities have provided new information about the evidence collected after a shooting injured several people in a Southern California suburb.
Hawthorne police were called to the 14100 block of Crenshaw Boulevard shortly after 2 a.m. Thursday following reports of gunfire and “multiple people screaming.”
When officers arrived, they found three adult victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Los Angeles Fire Department crews transported them to nearby hospitals.
Police said all three victims suffered injuries that were not life-threatening and remained under medical care.
A fourth adult victim later sought treatment at a nearby hospital, officials said.

Investigators recovered a handgun and “numerous spent bullet casings” from the location. The events that led to the shooting remain under investigation.
People who witnessed the incident told authorities that a group had gathered nearby and began arguing before shots were fired.
According to MyNewsLA, no officers fired their weapons during the response.
Video shared on Citizen captures screams and at least three separate bursts of gunfire. The footage, recorded over roughly one minute, appears to include at least 10 shots.
Police have not determined how many suspects may have been involved.
Hawthorne is situated in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County.
