I wrote earlier about the ICE actions in Los Angeles and how protesters tried to block the ICE vans from leaving with people.
Mayor Karen Bass spoke out against the actions and said in a statement, “We will not stand for this.”

What did she mean by that? What did she mean to do to stand in the way of federal law enforcement?

BREAKING 🚨: DHS Police are persistently firing non-lethal and tear gas pellets into the crowd to disperse them, with items being thrown in all directions and more mace applied.
Have not heard or seen of LAPD being called to assist the agents, since Mayor of LA said police will not interfere. pic.twitter.com/8cVhYnfkE0

BREAKING 🚨: Police donned in riot gear have just advanced on protestors and made at least one arrest. Protestors are scattering as loud bangs and non-lethal measures are utilized for crowd control.

You can also see law enforcement moving to grab one of the people and other people throwing things at law enforcement.
While the protest remained largely peaceful, aerial video from AIR7 showed part of the street blocked off by protesters with LAPD patrol vehicles nearby. Video also showed that the Federal Detention Center had been sprayed with graffiti.
LAPD declared an unlawful assembly shortly after 7 p.m., warning individuals they were subject to arrest if they remained in the area.
This is what Mayor Bass has countenanced with her statement, acting as though there’s something wrong with federal law enforcement to detain illegal aliens. The wrong here is how the Democrats are responding and demonizing enforcing the law. They’ve completely gone around the bend at this point defending illegal aliens.
BREAKING 🚨: Protestors are now taking hammers to cement blocks to break them down and use against DHS police.
This is about to get way worse unless LAPD is ordered to assist. pic.twitter.com/R89LKhPTef

Finally, it looked like LAPD showed up.
HAPPENING NOW 🚨: LAPD in Riot Gear have finally arrived and are assisting DHS agents who were trapped inside a federal Govt. parking structure. Order to disperse have been given. pic.twitter.com/C4ywaDRYAK
