BELOVED Justice Frank Caprio, who became a social media sensation as the “nicest judge in the world,” has passed away at the age of 88 after a fight with pancreatic cancer.

Caprio died on Wednesday less than 24 hours after he shared a video from his hospital bed on Instagram, asking for prayers.

“Known for his compassion, humility, and unyielding belief in the goodness of people, Judge Caprio impacted millions through his courtroom work and beyond,” the announcement of his passing stated.

“His warmth, humor, and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

“He will be remembered not only as a respected judge, but as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

“His legacy endures through the numerous acts of kindness he inspired. In memory of him, let us all aim to infuse the world with a little more compassion — just as he did every single day.”
