The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Riverview High School teacher for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a student.

RIVERVIEW, Fla. — On Saturday, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of a Riverview High School educator accused of having a sexual relationship with a student.

The sheriff’s office report detailed that on Friday, 27-year-old teacher Brooke Anderson was alleged to be in a relationship with a male student. Detectives interviewed the student, who claimed that the relationship commenced with sexually explicit messages in September 2024, according to the report.

Detectives stated that in the weeks leading to Anderson’s arrest, the student reported that the relationship intensified, including several instances of sexual conduct. The most recent event was said to have taken place Friday morning, inside Anderson’s classroom before the school day began, as noted in the report.

Anderson was arrested and charged with three counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor.

“This teacher betrayed the trust of a student, a school, and an entire community,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said. “What should have been a safe, supportive environment for learning was exploited for abuse. Her actions are criminal, calculated, and deeply disturbing.”

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with more information about the case, or anyone who may be a victim, to contact them at 813-247-8200.
