Spencer Pratt is sharing a personal moment from his visit to President Donald Trump’s Oval Office, reflecting on the significance of bringing his 8-year-old son, Gunner, with him.
The reality TV personality and former Los Angeles mayoral candidate posted a photo of Gunner standing in front of the president’s empty desk, smiling broadly as he rested his arms on two chairs. Dressed in a button-down shirt, suit jacket and black pants, Gunner appeared to take in the historic setting with excitement.
For Pratt, the visit also became a moment to explain how he views patriotism and public service, comparing love of country to the unconditional devotion a parent feels for a child.
“You must love your country the way you love your child. Unconditional love,” Pratt wrote. “You make sure they play by the rules.”
“But no matter what, you love them with your whole heart, you wake up every day thinking about how to be of service to them, and you would die to protect them,” he added.
Pratt’s White House post came shortly after he announced his first major effort following the election: the WAR Foundation. He said the organization would rely on “hard-hitting media, investigative research, educational campaigns, and strategic partnerships in government and media” to advance its mission.
The foundation was formally filed with the California Secretary of State on June 24 by Pratt campaign staffers Gabriel Mann and Briana Bilbray.
Pratt has described the group as a vehicle for using “innovative media” to “advocate for transparency, accountability, and integrity in government and culture.”
“Our biggest weakness today is the lack of courage in leadership and culture; everyone wants common sense, but everyone is too afraid to demand it,” he wrote.

The former candidate had ran a viral campaign for Los Angeles mayor over the past year after his home in the Palisades burned down from the devastating wildfires. His campaign attracted nationwide attention from conservatives and pundits for its use and sharing of catchy ads, including some generated by AI.
Pratt ended up losing out in the June primary, finishing third behind incumbent Mayor Karen Bass and city councilmember Nithya Raman.
Trump, however, seems to be like Pratt and had even urged him to dispute the June primary loss.
It’s unclear what was discussed in Pratt’s meeting with the president, and The Post had reached out to those involved for comment.
Pratt is married to another reality TV personality Heidi Montag and has two sons with her.
