Star Grant, Devan Loving charged with murder after Travis Eugene Grant, Kimberly Michelle Grant, Sharon Harwood Grant found dead

Star Grant and Devan Loving were located in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, following a tragic incident involving a triple shooting in North Carolina, as reported by officials.

In Fairview, North Carolina, a teenage girl is facing charges of first-degree murder after authorities discovered three deceased family members in their home, as shared by local law enforcement.

On Thursday, deputies from the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office visited a residence in Fairview for a welfare check. Family members had grown concerned after losing contact with the household. Upon entering, officers discovered the bodies of Travis Eugene Grant, 41, Kimberly Michelle Grant, 42, and Sharon Harwood Grant, 66, all victims of gunshot wounds.

According to ABC affiliate WLOS, the victims were identified as the parents and grandmother of a 16-year-old resident, Star Grant, who investigators later found to be missing.

Authorities mentioned that deputies had previously conducted welfare checks at the residence in the days before but lacked sufficient cause to enter until Thursday’s visit.

Officials indicated that Star Grant might have been in the company of 28-year-old Devan Loving in the area of Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Star Grant and Loving are each charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of felony conspiracy to commit murder. Grant will be charged as an adult, the sheriff’s office confirmed.

Authorities have not released a possible motive in the case.

They will face an extradition hearing in Tennessee before being returned to Buncombe County.

In a statement, Buncombe County Sheriff Quentin Miller said: “We would like to express our condolences to the family of these victims. We would also like to share our gratitude for our team of Patrol Deputies, Detectives, Crime Scene Investigators, and those leading these teams. Most of them have not slept because they have focused on nothing but arriving at this outcome that will hopefully bring closure to those impacted by this tragedy.”
