Newly released body-camera footage captures the moment Florida deputies entered Citibank’s campus during a deadly shooting and searched for the gunman before an officer announced, “Shooter is down.”
The chaotic video shows law enforcement responding to Wednesday’s attack in Tampa, where a woman was killed before an armed security guard fatally shot the shirtless, obese suspect, Fox News Digital reported.
In footage released by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy asks bystanders to describe the suspect as officers arrive at the sprawling corporate park, where bank employees had been eating lunch.
The deputy then reports that a vehicle had crashed into the building and that the suspect was inside the cafeteria.
“Shooter is down,” an officer says as deputies are later seen escorting civilians out of the building.
Authorities also released 911 audio of a caller reporting gunfire at Citibank while dispatchers and deputies coordinated how to enter the building.
The first calls about shots fired came in at 12:11 p.m., and deputies arrived within one minute, according to the sheriff’s office.
Citibank analyst Adara Evans, 22, was eating lunch in an outdoor courtyard when she heard a loud bang and saw a gray car crash through a fence and plow into tables, she told the Tampa Bay Times.
The gunman “exited the car, approached the female with a rifle, and she was shot,” HCSO Chief Deputy Frank Losat told reporters.

Evans, whose sister also works at the campus, ran into a nearby building before hearing gunshots.
“I just thought to myself, ‘I have to find my sister to make sure she’s OK,’” she said.
Authorities credited an armed Citibank security guard with stopping the suspect during a shootout.
The gunman was later pronounced dead at Tampa General Hospital.
“Thanks to the brave actions by the security team on-site and more than 365 deputies, this unhinged suspect was stopped before he could harm anyone else,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said in a statement.
Four other people were injured, though authorities did not provide further information about their injuries or conditions.
The victim has not been identified as police investigate a possible motive. It was not immediately clear whether she knew the suspect.
“We are very fluid at this stage in the investigation. This is a sad day for everyone involved,” Losat told reporters.
