Trump administration arrests 'worst of the worst' criminal illegal immigrants in enforcement sweep

Immigration agents have taken significant action by detaining some of the most dangerous illegal immigrant criminals nationwide. This initiative is part of the Trump administration’s ongoing efforts to deport criminal illegal immigrants.

At least five men arrested had convictions for various offenses.

Among those apprehended is Jose Javier Romero-Hernandez, a Mexican national convicted of several offenses in Oklahoma, including first-degree burglary, domestic assault and battery by strangulation, domestic assault with a dangerous weapon, threatening violence, and malicious injury or destruction of property.

In Texas, Juan Ignacio Amaya-Hernandez, also from Mexico, was convicted of indecency with a child, authorities said.

In Texas, Elin Edicson Ochoa-Hernandez from Honduras faced conviction for alien smuggling. Additionally, Manuel De Jesus Lopez-Marroquin from Guatemala was found guilty in New Jersey of heroin distribution, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and hindering.

The Trump administration has intensified its focus on illegal immigrants with criminal backgrounds, notably in cities like Los Angeles, where local leaders have urged an end to these raids.

During a June appearance on “Hannity,” Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem emphasized the administration’s strategy, stating, “In L.A., we have been going after the worst of the worst. These individuals are murderers and have been involved in assault, human and drug trafficking, causing devastating impacts on these communities for years.”

“Those are the people we’re going after,” she added.
