JSO: Man dies after being found shot on Brentwood Avenue

A tragic incident unfolded on Saturday evening when a man in his late thirties was discovered with several gunshot wounds, according to Jacksonville police. His death is currently being investigated.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An investigation is underway by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office following the discovery of a man who had been shot multiple times on Saturday evening.

Authorities responded to a call at around 6:15 p.m. regarding a shooting in the 4300 block of Brentwood Avenue, near the Golfair Boulevard intersection. Upon arrival, they found the victim, who was quickly transported to the hospital but sadly was pronounced dead.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reported that several individuals have been detained for questioning, although the details of the events leading to the shooting remain unclear.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident or those who might be involved to reach out to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office or provide anonymous tips through First Coast Crime Stoppers.
