Elderly couple fatally stabbed inside Queens apartment, no arrests made as investigation continues: report

An elderly couple tragically lost their lives in a violent stabbing incident inside their Queens apartment over the weekend, as reported by local authorities. The victims have been identified as a 71-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman.

According to the New York Daily News, both individuals were discovered with multiple stab wounds. The grim discovery came after police officers responded to an emergency 911 call made just before 8 p.m. on Saturday. The call reportedly indicated that the assault was still occurring at the time, as noted by the New York Post.

The incident has drawn significant attention, prompting the release of new images showing an armed ex-convict who is now being sought by police. Authorities believe the suspect pretended to have a legitimate reason to enter the couple’s home before committing the heinous act.

The event has cast a somber shadow over the Queens neighborhood, with aerial views capturing the residential area where the tragedy unfolded. This particular scene of violence highlights a pressing concern for community safety and the vulnerability of elderly residents.

Police responded to a residence near Peck Avenue and 64th Avenue in Fresh Meadows, Queens, where they encountered the victims critically injured, NY Post said.

EMS transported the pair to local hospitals for emergency treatment, the Daily News added.

The man was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, and the man was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, the woman was brought to North Shore University Hospital, according to the NY Post.

Both victims were later pronounced dead, according to reports.

No arrests had been made as of the latest local reports, and an the investigation remained ongoing.
