Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce skipped the red carpet.

The superstar couple was invited to Monday’s Met Gala, but sat it out due to scheduling conflicts, according to TMZ.

Swift, who has previously attended the glamorous benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, and Kelce, both 35, have kept a low profile during much of the NFL offseason.

According to Page Six, the couple enjoyed a “nice escape” from public attention following the Chiefs’ disappointing Super Bowl 2025 loss to the Eagles in February.

“A lot of their time is spent at home just relaxing. Despite their fame, they’re really just like any other couple,” the source said.

Initially linked in 2023, Swift’s relationship with Kelce sparked significant media attention, with the 14-time Grammy winner regularly appearing at Chiefs games over the past two seasons.

She supported Kelce after Philadelphia thwarted Kansas City’s hopes of a Super Bowl three-peat on Feb. 9.

The 10-time Pro Bowler then took a beat to mull his NFL future before confirming his return to the Chiefs on “The Pat McAfee Show” in late February.

“I’m coming back, for sure,” Kelce told McAfee in a text read on-air. “Gonna try and get to the best shape I’ve been this offseason and get back to the mountaintop. Got a real bad taste in my mouth with how I played in that last game and how I got the guys ready for battle. I can’t go out like that!!!!”

Kelce is coming off a statistically down year in which he tallied 97 receptions for 823 yards and three touchdowns in 16 regular-season games. In 15 games in 2023, he had 93 receptions for 984 yards and five touchdowns.

He’s now entering his 13th NFL season.

As for Swift, the pop phenomenon has been taking some much-deserved time for herself after wrapping the blockbuster Eras Tour in December after nearly two years on the road.

Kelce frequented several tour stops and even made a cameo at one of Swift’s London shows last summer.
