HOUSTON, Texas — President Donald Trump recognized the Artemis II astronauts Friday during a ceremony celebrating their historic journey around the moon.
The four-member crew was awarded the Congressional Space Medal of Honor at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, one of the nation’s highest honors for astronauts.
NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch, along with Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen, completed a 10-day mission around the moon in April, marking humanity’s first return to the lunar region in more than 50 years.
