In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, U.S. President Donald Trump issued a stern ultimatum to Iran, demanding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz by Tuesday evening. Failure to comply, he warned, would result in attacks on the nation’s critical infrastructure.

“If they don’t act by Tuesday evening, they won’t have any power plants left, and their bridges will be demolished,” Trump stated during the interview.
Further fueling speculation, Trump took to social media to post a cryptic message: “Tuesday, 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time!” However, he did not directly reference Iran or provide additional context.

Attempts to obtain comments from White House representatives regarding the social media post were unsuccessful.
Earlier that Sunday, Trump had also mentioned via social media that Iran would face repercussions involving infrastructure attacks if the strait remained closed by Tuesday, although he did not specify an exact time in that post.
