25-Year CBP Officer Busted for Allegedly Harboring Illegal Alien Lover and Her Child

In a surprising turn of events, a longstanding U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) supervisor has been arrested in Texas. Andres Wilkinson, who has served with the CBP since 2001 and rose to a supervisory position in 2021, faces charges of harboring an illegal alien. Authorities discovered that a woman and her child were allegedly residing in his home, prompting the legal action.

According to court documents filed in the Southern District of Texas, Wilkinson is accused of knowingly supporting the woman despite her undocumented status. This support allegedly included providing housing, financial aid, credit cards, and transportation in a vehicle registered to him. The complaint states that Wilkinson even transported her through Border Patrol checkpoints, indicating his awareness of her immigration situation.

The federal complaint paints a picture of a close relationship, suggesting that Wilkinson maintained a romantic involvement with the woman, identified as Elva Edith Garcia-Vallejo. Messages reportedly indicate that she and her child were living with him, and that Wilkinson provided substantial financial support, including the use of his vehicle.

Garcia-Vallejo is said to have entered the United States in August 2023 on a non-immigrant visa, which she overstayed, leading to her current undocumented status. This case raises significant questions about the responsibilities and ethical conduct expected of those in law enforcement positions.

The complaint further alleges Wilkinson “traveled with the illegal alien to San Antonio and that messages indicated she and her child resided with him.”

The woman, identified in reports as Elva Edith Garcia-Vallejo, entered the country in August 2023 on a non-immigrant visa and then overstayed the authorized period of stay.

Wilkinson is facing 10 years in prison and a potential $250,000 fine if convicted.

Making the case even more bizarre, law enforcement information suggests the woman may be related to the CBP supervisor, since she is the daughter of a man Wilkinson had previously identified as his brother.

The CBP Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) in May of 2025 “received law enforcement database research indicating that Garcia-Vallejo is SCPO Wilkinson’s niece.”

“The woman admitted that she had been living with her uncle, SCBPO Wilkinson, since on or about August 2024,” the complaint reads.

Wilkinson was to attend a detention hearing on Thursday before Magistrate Judge Brian C. Bajew.

If these allegations prove true, Wilkinson’s actions mark a bizarre and shocking betrayal of his position within the CBP. Wilkinson’s duties as supervisor included “overseeing the enforcement of customs and immigration laws,” prosecutors state.

He seems to have egregiously failed to do so in this case. No role, large or small, grants immunity from the rules meant to protect the nation’s borders.
