Small children were seen circling in boat rides through murky, “sewage brown” water at a well-known Maryland amusement park during the July 4 holiday weekend, according to a stomach-turning video.
The clip, shared on TikTok over the holiday, showed a young child calmly riding one of the boat attractions at Trimper Rides of Ocean City, the Daily Mail reported.
Captioned in jest, “Is this even legal? (I’m kidding) I really don’t know,” the footage shows several small, brightly colored children’s boats moving in a loop through visibly dirty, brown-tinted water.
Since being posted Sunday, the video has drawn more than 2.6 million views, with many commenters taking aim at the amusement park.
“Are you sure this water’s sanitary?” one user snarked, while another wrote, “That ride is overdue for maintenance.”
“Prob radioactive now,” another person joked.
“That has got to be some type of health code violation,” another commenter said.
Some viewers took a more cinematic approach, likening the grimy water to something straight out of a movie.

“Is that the water from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?” one user joked.
Another, however, asked the question that was likely on everyone’s mind — “Why is the water sewage brown?”
The startling sight concerned many, particularly those who have previously visited the theme park.
“Wasn’t it actually clear water once?? I swear I have pics as a kid riding it??,” one user asked.
“I still have a picture of me and my sister on this back when the water was blue,” another reminisced.
A number of people compared the images with previous trips to the park — some as recently as May of this year — when the ride’s water was clean and blue.
It is unclear when the condition deteriorated but most people are just outright confused and concerned.
“Oh f–k no, I’ve changed diapers that looked cleaner than that,” one user wrote.
Trimper Rides Management did not immediately reply to The Post’s request for comment.
