In a shocking incident at Tacoma’s Foss High School on Thursday, a stabbing left at least six individuals injured, triggering an extensive emergency response. The wounded were swiftly taken to local hospitals for treatment.

According to city officials, the injured include four students and a security guard, all of whom received medical attention. The suspect involved was also hospitalized, as confirmed by Tacoma Fire Department spokesperson Chelsea Shepherd in a statement to Fox News Digital.

Shepherd reported that four of the injuries are deemed critical while two others are not life-threatening. Among those injured is the suspect, but details concerning the condition of the students and the security guard remain unclear.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the nature of the weapon used in the attack or confirmed if all the injuries are directly linked to the same incident.

Police and first responders swarmed the campus, securing the scene as students and staff were placed on lockdown, FOX 13 reported. 

The school was used as a reunification site for students and their parents.

It remains unknown if the suspect is a student at the school or not. 

The incident remains under investigation, with officials expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
