Whitney Purvis’ 16-year-old son, Weston, has died.

The “16 and Pregnant” alum mourned her eldest child in a heartbreaking statement via Facebook on Monday.

“Writing this is incredibly difficult,” shared the former reality star, 33, along with several photos of her child. “My beloved son, Weston, has passed away at just 16 years old.”

She described life as “cruel and unjust,” expressing, “I can’t comprehend this. My baby is gone, and I am lost without him. He was absolutely perfect.”

“This is truly my worst nightmare realized,” she went on. “How does one continue living after the loss of a child? I am in shock; this can’t be real. I don’t want it to be true. I’d give anything to hold him again. The pain is indescribable.”

The former MTV personality concluded the message by addressing her late son.

“I love you so much, Weston Owen Gosa.  God, I love you so much,” she wrote. ” You are my heart.  I was so proud of the young man you were becoming. I just can’t go on without you. Rest in Peace, my angel.  You are gone too soon.”

Purvis welcomed her baby boy in April 2009 with Weston Gosa.

While Purvis did not divulge further details about the teenager’s cause of death, her ex’s wife, Amy Gosa, wrote that Weston Jr. was “not breathing” when they attempted to wake him at 7 a.m. Monday morning.

“We attempted CPR and called an ambulance,” she explained via Facebook. “The paramedics attempted it as well and took him to the hospital in Gordon County where he was pronounced dead.”

Amy noted that Weston Jr., who she praised as a “brilliant, smart and funny” boy, “had several health issues as well as diabetes,” but they are awaiting autopsy results.

She concluded, “We are completely heartbroken and in shock. It was so unexpected.”

Weston Jr.’s arrival was documented on Season 1 of “16 and Pregnant” in 2009.

Five years after wrapping the show, Purvis welcomed another son, River — and has since lost custody of both to Weston.

Purvis made headlines for a 2024 arrest over allegedly unpaid child support.
