Victoria Beckham is pouring £2m into Harper's skincare brand

Victoria Beckham is investing more than $3 million (£2.3 million) to help launch daughter Harper’s skincare business, despite the brand potentially remaining around a year away from its first sale.

The spending is detailed in the first accounts submitted by H7B Ltd, a company founded by Victoria and Oliver Shipton, who also works alongside her at the successful Victoria Beckham Beauty business.

H7B takes its name from Harper Seven Beckham. The company was incorporated in October 2024, when Harper was 13.

The proposed teenage skincare label, Harlo by Harper, is expected to arrive in the second half of next year. The launch will likely follow Harper’s GCSE exams in May and June; she turns 16 in July.

People familiar with the project say it is entirely separate from Victoria Beckham Beauty and will operate as an independent business. That makes the investment a significant vote of confidence in Harper’s potential as a founder.

Accounts covering the period from October 2024 through December last year show that H7B owed creditors $3,387,000. The debt is listed as payable “within a year”.

The company describes its work as “brand creation”. Its filings also record more than $2.8 million owed by group undertakings, suggesting that a substantial amount has been advanced to fund the venture.

In an unusual detail, the Companies House balance sheet reports its figures in US dollars. Lawyers representing Victoria have also applied to trademark the name “Harlo” in America.

A spokesperson for Victoria declined to comment.

The first public hint that Harper might follow her parents into business came in October 2024, while Victoria was in New York promoting a new fragrance.

Asked to write down her ambitions beneath the words “my reverie” — the name of Victoria’s perfume — the then-13-year-old wrote: “To create an amazing brand when I am older.” Victoria later shared the note with her 33 million Instagram followers.

That was also the month H7B was registered. Earlier efforts to secure a trademark for the name Haiku by Harper were unsuccessful, and the project has since been renamed Harlo.

Harper is understood to be working with members of her mother’s expert team on a product line expected to include cleanser, toner, a lightweight moisturiser and potentially lip balms.

Earlier this year, Harper took time away from school to accompany Victoria on a work trip to New York. She attended events linked to her mother’s collaboration with Gap and the launch of a new fragrance.

Victoria said on Emma Grede’s podcast earlier this year that the skincare concept originated with Harper after unsuitable beauty products contributed to her acne. “She came to me two or three years ago and she was really struggling with her skin,” the former Spice Girl said.

“She used to have beautiful skin but, like all young girls, she was enticed by beauty brands and was putting a lot of product on her face that was not suitable for her skin. Consequently, she ended up seeing a dermatologist because her skin was really, really bad.”

Victoria added that Harper told her: “I want to create a brand because I know what I want and I don’t want other people to have to go through what I have been through.”

The company, which uses daughter Harper's initial and the numeral '7' as her middle name is Seven, was set up in October 2024 when she was 13 years old (pictured together June 2026)

The plan is to launch her skincare for teens brand, Harlo, at some point towards the second half of next year, probably after Harper sits her GCSE's in May and June. She turns 16 in July

Apparently there are ambitions for Harper’s brand to rival Hailey Bieber’s Rhode Beauty.

Victoria’s holding company – which comprises both the fashion and beauty businesses – made an operating profit of £7.3million in the year to December 2025, a huge improvement from the previous year’s figure of a £1.5million loss.

The fashion business alone made an operating profit of £1.5million.

But the full position which is that after tax the fashion business actually made a loss of £1.7million.

What’s more, the full accounts also show that there was a new loan to the fashion business of £1.5million. Sales of fashion are indeed booming, reveal the full accounts at companies house, but the cost of sales is still absolutely sky high and stands at £17.5million for the fashion business which is actually an increase on the previous year. The fashion brand also owes £59million to creditors.

When you include the make up and beauty brand the figures look better. Victoria Beckham Holdings made an operating profit of £7.3million, and after tax made a profit of £2.4million.

The Beckhams’ oldest son Brooklyn famously said in an Instagram post in January this year that his parents had exploited him and put the needs of the Beckham brand ahead of family life. He also complained that they had tried to split him and wife Nicola Peltz up.
