For Bill Elliott, a dedicated family man, the opportunity to involve his son Caleb in coaching the local high school football team was a dream come true for any sports-loving father.
However, this dream has turned into a nightmare as Caleb, now 26, faces serious accusations of abusing over 30 teenage boys at a Texas high school, potentially tarnishing the family’s once-spotless reputation.
Caleb is currently charged with conducting a disturbing series of abuses at Moore Middle School in Celina, Texas.
The close-knit community is reeling from shocking allegations, which include claims that Caleb forced a boy to perform jumping jacks while naked, recorded students without their consent, and installed hidden cameras, as detailed in two lawsuits filed by outraged parents.
Bill Elliott, a respected coach who led Celina High School to a state championship last year and was named Coach of the Year, is also drawn into the controversy.
One lawsuit accuses him of leveraging his significant influence within the Celina Independent School District to conceal his son’s alleged actions, purportedly to protect his own reputation.
Caleb was given a job with the team, known as The Bobcats, alongside his brother Nathan after the two played for the side as high schoolers.
While employed at the school Caleb is alleged to have struck up a relationship with a ‘vulnerable student’.
But instead of reporting him to police and terminating his position, the suit said that the board instead moved him to Moore Middle School where he allegedly preyed on even younger boys.

The first suit stated: ‘In a calculated act of institutional cowardice, they simply moved him. In an apparent attempt to quietly handle a scandal involving the son of the revered head coach, Celina ISD simply moved Caleb.
‘Let that sink in: when faced with an adult who had sexually exploited a child, Celina ISD’s solution was to give him access to younger children.’
In its most damning comment, it added: ‘This was not a well-intentioned mistake. This was a deliberate decision by adults in positions of power to sacrifice children on the altar of reputation.
‘The message was clear: the football program and those connected to it would be protected, no matter the cost to children.’
Bill was named alongside the district in the first suit which claimed that he knew about his son’s alleged relationship with the ‘vulnerable student’, and that his son had behaved inappropriately with youngsters.
According to the suits, Caleb was banned from being allowed in the locker room at some point during the 2024-25 school year.
The second suit, involving a large number of families, claims that the alleged expulsion came after he was caught installing camera in the locker rooms.
It claimed that his excuse at the time was that he did not know it was illegal, and that he was setting up cameras to deter theft.

According to the suit, parents were allegedly mailed apology letters by the school who continued to employ him.
In September of this year, the boys said that Caleb would start coming into the locker room only when the two other coaches weren’t around.
The suit claims that the boys witnessed Caleb standing in and around the shower area of the locker room and that hew would ‘stare wordlessly at the nude boys’.
It said: ‘[Caleb] Elliott, undertaking no coach business in the locker room, would stand around in places where he could best gawk at the boys nude and disrobing.’

In one incident, Caleb is alleged to have taken one of the boys aside and confiscated his backpack.
As a punishment to get the backpack back, Caleb is alleged to have told the boy to do jumping jacks fully nude.
It was around this time that the boys started to suspect Caleb of doing more than looking and that he was photographing and videotaping them on his phone, the lawsuit states.
Suspicions grew after over the way Caleb allegedly held his phone, which the lawsuit claims was pointed outward towards the boys.
On October 3, two students claim they saw Caleb ‘unmistakably and unintentionally’ capturing multiple images on his cellphone of them nude, the lawsuit states.
It is claimed that the boys were naked or in ‘various states of undress’ in both the changing area and the showers of the locker room.
Caleb is alleged to have been specifically targeting the buttocks and genitals of the boys.
After the teenagers spotted him, they reported his alleged behavior to the principal, identified in the suit as Allison Ginn, who then informed the police.
Later that same night Caleb was arrested for the first time on suspicions of invasive visual recording, a state jail felony.

Six days later, he was arrested again on suspicion of possession of child pornography.
On October 15, the suit added that Caleb surrendered his teaching license and stood down from his post at the school.
Last week he was booked into Collin County Hail on a third charge of sexual performance of a child on a $350,000 bond.
Attorney Paul Herz, who is representing the families in the second suit, said the third arrest was a direct result of their lawsuit.
Ross Leonoudakis, who represents a number of families in the first suit accusing the schoolboard and Bill of negligence, said: ‘Every partner, every educator, and every school board in Texas should be paying attention.
‘This case establishes that administrators can no longer hide behind institutional immunity when they make deliberate choices to conceal abuse.’
The boys affected are said to have difficulty sleeping, attending school and using public changing or bathing facilities as a result of the alleged incident.
Bill and principal Ginn have both been placed on non-disciplinary paid leave as an internal review by the district continues.
At a school board meeting, Bill told concerned students: ‘I want you to know how sorry I am, and my family is. I understand your anger, I understand your frustration.
‘I want justice to be done, and justice will be done. We will do all we can to protect our kids.’
Bill added that his own family was standing alongside the affected parents as they navigated the ongoing investigation. His remarks were met with applause from those who attended the meeting.
In a statement to the Daily Mail, the school district said: ‘Due to the pending investigations and litigation, the District will not respond to individual requests for comments or statements.’
The Daily Mail approached Bill Elliott for comment. Lawyer information for Caleb was not available.
