SAN DIEGO —
A 20-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon after she got into a fight and allegedly stabbed two men with a pocketknife and battered a third person, police said.
The incident began around 9 p.m. when the woman got into an argument with a man who was in a car with her and two other people. The two got out on Eastman Street near Fulton Street in Linda Vista and the woman allegedly pulled out a pocketknife with a three-inch blade and stabbed the 19-year-old man multiple times, police said.
The other two people in the car got out and tried to break up the fight.
During a struggle, an 18-year-old man was stabbed on his wrist as he intervened, police said. The suspect then struck the 20-year-old woman who had gotten out of the car, leaving bruises on her face and a laceration along her nose, police said.
The two men were transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The other victim was not transported, police said.
The suspect was arrested a short time later in Chula Vista. She was later booked into Las Colinas Detention Facility.
