The 80th anniversary of VE Day, commemorating the end of the Second World War in Europe, commenced today with a military procession from Parliament Square to Buckingham Palace.

Among the attendees were several senior members of the Royal Family, including the King and Queen, as well as the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Princess Kate demonstrated her timeless style in a bespoke Emilia Wickstead coat dress, previously worn in 2022.

The striking berry-toned design exuded elegance through the use of classic peak lapels, a cinched waist and knife-pleat skirt.

Kate completed her ensemble with recycled accessories: a Sean Barrett pillbox hat, Ralph Lauren court shoes, and diamond and ruby jewellery.
