Arsenal are set to make an improved bid for Manchester United goalkeeper Mary Earps.

According to DAZN, Arsenal are eager to sign Earps, who won the Golden Glove award at the Women’s World Cup.

Arsenal’s expected bid is said to be significantly higher than the current record fee for a women’s goalkeeper – the £100,000 paid by San Diego Wave for Kailen Sheridan.

Earps saved a penalty in England’s defeat to Spain in the World Cup final.

However, they are pursuing Earps, who has 40 caps for England.

Earps joined Manchester United from Wolfsburg in 2019 and has made 80 league appearances for the club.

During a lengthy career Earps has played for a host of clubs including Doncaster Rovers Belles, Birmingham City, Bristol Academy and Reading.
